What Are Affiliate Programs?

An affiliate program is a system by which a "publisher" expands their sales and marketing force. An affiliate is someone who promotes products or services for the publisher in exchange for a commission.

The commission may be in the form of a percentage of the sale, or it may be a flat payment.

Making Money Online With Affiliate Marketing
Making money online with affiliate marketing is really quite simple in terms of what it is you are doing. You are simply promoting products or services to earn commissions. In execution however, it can be quite complicated.

Types of Affiliate Programs

There are different types of affiliate programs. CPA offers pay you when the user takes some action, like submitting an email address or a zip code. Other offers pay per lead, for instance if the user applies for a loan.

Other programs pay on the sale of a product or service.

Choosing An Affiliate Program

Typically choosing an affiliate program means selecting an affiliate network to join, and then selecting affiliate offers to promote. There are many networks. Some networks focus on specific types of offers, other networks are very broad.

On this blog I will be posting about how to get started, choosing affiliate programs to join and products/services to promote, and some easy ways to start making money online for free without spending any money out of your own pocket.
